It's hard to believe that my Summer break officially ends in less than 2 weeks! Why does time pass by so quickly these days? In my last post, I mentioned that I wanted to spend my last few weeks with friends and family and that's exactly what I did this weekend while visiting my grandmother. She lives in this totally secluded area away from Internet and any form of cellular reception. I know that some of you are wondering how exactly I managed to spend an entire weekend without those 'essentials', but it was actually quite easy and enjoyable once I accepted it.
While on my weekend trip, I had a lot of time to think. If I listed everything this post it would be forever long. One thing in particular is my sometimes uncanny ability to lie to myself in order to avoid disappointments and failures.
I happened to run across this article on one of my go to websites for inspiration. It was called 'Seven Lies You Need to Stop Telling Yourself'.
1. You are not worthy of love.
2. You are not enough.
3. You do not deserve happiness.
4. You are not unique or special.
5. Your dreams are too unrealistic or impractical.
6. Your circumstances dictate your success.
7. You are not worthy of wealth.
The rest of the article is in the link above, but after reading those few points, I realized just how much our own negativity can hold us back. My blog started out as just some way to share my perspective on fashion, however, it's become so much more than that. This is the place where I express myself in hopes that maybe it inspires someone reading this. I honestly hope that it does.
LC Lauren Conrad Camisole (similar one on SALE here) | Merona Jacket | Refuge Capri Jeans | Decree Antonia Tote |
Charming Charlie Necklace (Really pretty one here) | Keds Lace Up Sneakers
It was my first time wearing this camisole. I think it's comfortable and simply wonderful. This is an outfit I'd wear on my college campus, hence the reason for the oh so comfortable Keds. I'm not used to wearing anything this casual, but it's never wrong to dress down from time to time.
